It was an amazing trip, and they are available to anyone who is interested! This is run annually by Sail Britain and they run everything from photography weeks to foraging and ecology, highly recommend :)
Ahhh there's something so magical/romantic about sailing, especially with such a ruggedly beautiful, natural backdrop. To me, it's the dream activity for a storyteller. Thanks for sharing!
I loved the point about looking beyond the big vistas and noticing the smaller details. I think we understand a landscape differently when we slow down enough to notice what is actually living, growing and feeding us within it. The coastal foraging element makes that connection particularly tangible.
Thank you, it's been a transformational shift to me to slow down and pay attention to details, I completely agree with what you say! And I loved learning about foraging within that context, makes everything feel even closer!
Lovely to see the Eda Frandsen in your photos. I worked as an occasional walking guide aboard her for a few summers. She took me to some very wild shores. Beautiful.
