Hey Alexander

These are all good, gentle, kind lessons to yourself, and also wise.

May your life be enriched by living this way, and itself be a lesson for others.

Best Wishes - Dave :)

Thank you, this is such a wonderful well-wish and mantra "May your life be enriched by living this way, and itself be a lesson for others."

I'll try to always keep it in mind!

Hey my friend

Well, I risk sounding simplistic on things like this, but some things are at heart simple concepts. Kindness to oneself and others, gentleness.... looking for balance.

The complex part is in following through with that, consistently, in a chaotic and often confusing world. Surprises happen, and then you have to adjust your course.

A bit like sailing, really.

Dave :)

So moving. Beautifully, lyrically, expressed; full of compassion and wonder at claiming your right relationship to all that exists. Yes, it helps to call on this deeply-felt knowledge during hard times…

And the puffin is perfect!

Thank you for such a generous and beautiful compliment. I'm happy it resonated. I felt quite moved as I wrote it, thinking both about past and future versions of me, I'm glad you liked it :)

This is absolutely powerful stuff, especially when we sit back and it is felt truly and deeply, they are things to live by. I think I have my own version of this in my heart not fully formulated or yet written. That quote about not living the wrong sort if life is so strong I feel it, I hope I'm moving in that direction now and also reading and studying the tibetan book of the dead has helped me a lot including by remembering my own impermanence. I'm glad you shared as there's a huge difference between behaviour whereby people go about giving unsolicited advice to individual circumstances which can actually be avoiding something in themselves, and what you've done here which is sharing your hard won wisdom with us 💛🧡💛

Thank you so much for this comment, Melinda! I'm glad it landed and didn't feel too preachy, I don't love giving rules of life type of advice, but this felt different somehow!

yes it’s different

Beautiful words. 🦋I try to live by this wisdom but it can be hard when fear or old habits hit. Really appreciate the reminder for one of my biggest struggles “all we can do is exist, and by existing we are enough. There is no need to prove your worth to the universe. You are the universe.”

An article for humanity. When did we truly lose touch with ourselves? Why did it take us so long to remember who we are? And what pursuits are meaningful to us and to the community? These are the questions; the answers lie between the lines of this text.

Alexander Gunnarsson's avatar

Thank you, such important questions to reflect on! I'm glad my writing resonated. I think we do always have to come back and remember to reflect on these important questions over time, I really appreciate you sharing

Such a beautiful post full of hope Alexander! I agree with embracing every experience as much as possible, that's something we should all aim for.

Alexander Gunnarsson's avatar

Thank you! I've come to realise that is one of the things that truly makes me feel happy, so reflecting on and reminding myself of that occasionally hopefully helps keep things in perspective!

I especially like ‘Do the gannets, dolphins or pufflings worry about meaning or purpose? They exist, and in existing they belong to earth and all there is. And so do we.’

So much in realising we are no more, no less than the beings around us.

Thank you, it has been such a shift for the way I look at things, and has helped me immensely! I'm glad you enjoyed, thank you!

Beautifully written from the heart. It felt like my Soul and the Universe were speaking to me. I try and live by this, however, it’s wonderful to read the words and absorb them into my Being 💜✨💜

Thank you Claire, I'm so happy that my writing was able to resonate and affect you in that way, what a joy to read this comment 💙

This was truly joyous, and invigorating in mystical ways for me. (I continue to contemplate a move that feels daunting and I found myself feeling more courageous by the end of this read.) Thank you Alexander, for sharing these beautiful insights and living as you do.

And also for this, it's a keeper: "So don’t you see that you are a facet of a crystal to which all things belong? All different, part of one whole." ❤

I think that you have reached that place, slowly moving towards, the cloud of unknowing, 14th century wisdom.

Thank for your kind, insightful words. Looking from where I am now maybe you are right!
